Why do Christian women need books?

The Proverbs have a lot to say about seeking wise counsel, learning knowledge, and applying understanding. This is why I compile book reviews for Christian women. There is no higher wisdom than the Bible, God’s Word. Still, as Christian women, God calls us to learn from one another. Therefore, I write reviews of books for Christian women.

I have read every word of these books and found value in them. Now, not all the books are necessarily Bible-based, but the ones that aren’t Bible-based are books that affirm traditional gender roles and the information within will be filtered through the Word of God. Primarily, the focus is on books that will encourage Christian women to grow and flourish in their roles as godly women. Out of godly women come godly wives and godly mothers which make godly children that fulfill the Great Commission.

What you’ll learn in the book reviews:

> what submission really means

>how to improve your marriage

>how to surrender to gain more freedom

>find contentment by being less controlling

>have a peaceful home that is full of children

be more secure in who God made me

I wasted a lot of time, don’t waste yours

It has taken me years to build a library of books for Christian women that are worth my precious time to read, not full of fluff and pats on the back. Be challenged by spending time reading books that will help build you up by scraping away parts of your heart and life that are holding you back from fulfilling all that God has for you.

Don’t waste your time on books that sound nice and tell you how amazing you are. You need books that will be honest. Books that will leave you feeling like a different woman when you turn the last page. Books that you not only want but NEED to read again because they were that packed with virtue.

So, that’s why I write book reviews for Christian women – because it took me way too long to find the good titles and I don’t want you wasting your time with platitudes that don’t improve your walk with Jesus and ministry to your husband and children.

What is God’s high calling for women in the church, in the body of Christ? Is it to be silent all the time? Does the Bible support women teachers/pastors/leaders?
