You know that, as a Christian, motherhood is a blessing. You feel called to it and want to do your best. But the world is against you. You feel alone. You are fried and at your wit’s end. There is a better way.
There are too many voices these days. Voices tell you that being a mom isn’t that important. Voices say that you have to be a superhero career woman AND a supermom. On the other hand, Christians sometimes feel superior in someway that the more burned out they are, the better mom they must be.
Seriously? None of these are true!
Your spirit tells you the truth – there is a better way.
Somewhere out there, there are moms that have a lot of kids and have a peaceful home. Their kids grow up to love the Lord. Their home doesn’t look like a day care or that a bomb went off, and they even homeschool.
Can you even believe? Has social media told you these moms either don’t exist or are putting on a front?
Guess what? These moms are real. These moms follow God’s Word in motherhood. You can have this too!
No one is saying this is easy, but you don’t have to look like you just got in a fight with an orangutan every day.
It is hard. Moms are the hardest working people on earth! Unfortunately, moms are not cared for very much by the church, which makes it even harder.
It takes discipline and consistency. You need a community. I hope you have one in person, but if you don’t, welcome home.
